Hi everyone,
Apologies for the late message. It seems there has been some confusion around the personal fitness test and the reasons for it. The reasons for it are to determine where the teams baseline will be, from there I will be building out a training program for the team for the duration of the season. There are no minimum requirements for each test, it is only to determine where the overall fitness level is.
Time and Test
Tryout 1 - Sunday September 8th - Fitness test #1 - Personal maximum push-ups, sit-ups and squats will be held after the tryout. So please be prepared to stay 15-20 minutes after the first tryout session. If the players could bring a pair of shorts, t-shirt and running shoes to wear right after the tryout, that would be best.
Tryout 2 - Tuesday September 10th - Fitness test #2 - Beep Test - This will take place in the field right outside of the Osgoode Arena. Be prepared to stay an extra 15-20 mins. Shorts, t-shirt and running shoes should be worn.
Tryout 3 - Friday September 13th - Fitness Test #3 - 1-mile run (1.6 km). This will take place in the field right outside of the Osgoode Arena. Again be prepared to stay an extra 20 mins. Shorts, t-shirt and running shoes should be worn.
