Hockey Canada Assist Fund

Good morning everyone,
 
With the Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund back again this season, and officially open for applications across Canada on August 1^st, Hockey Canada wanted to provide an update to Members.
 
Program Details
Applications Open: August 1, 2022
Applications Close: December 3, 2022
 
The Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund is back and eager to help Canadian families experience the power of play by offering up to $500 in registration subsidies for players (including those already registered) who qualify for funding.  The need is real! In its second year, with your support, the Assist Fund:
 

• received more than 2,000 applications;
• provided funding to 1,829 families;
• distributed 40% of available funding across Canada; and
• inspired corporate support and engaged new partners like Scotiabank, Chevrolet and Esso to help support more Canadian kids.

EFT Payments
As the Hockey Canada Foundation prepares for another Assist Fund season, we are aiming to transfer as many associations over to Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) as possible. This will allow for us to distribute funds faster and more effectively.  Attached is a sample EFT email that was circulated to Associations that have already been active in the Assist Fund, as well as a copy of Direct Deposit Banking Information that can be filled out to those that choose to utilize this service.
