To all HEO Members:
I hope this letter finds you and your families well. We would like to Thank all of the front-line workers for all that
you have done over the last few months, you are all our three-star selections.
HEO wanted to give you an update on where we are with a Return to Hockey Model. We have formulated a Task
Team made up of Volunteer’s from every cross section of HEO. This task team has been working hard at coming
up with a multifaceted plan for return to hockey when it will be deemed safe to do so by our Provincial and
Municipal Governments and Public Health Authorities and Hockey Canada.
The plan includes everything from health and safety regulations to communications, seasonal structures, and
different game play models if required.
As the return-to-hockey plan progresses, we will be working with our provincial branch partners to ensure a level
of continuity across the province as much as possible. We understand that the game will look different, how
different is still very unknown at this point. We ask for patience as we continue to work towards ensuring hockey
plays its role in bringing the sports community back.
The health and safety of everyone involved in the game will determine when we return, not our desire to get back
on the ice. When we do get the green light to proceed, we will be ready. Until that time please follow all
provincial and municipal guidelines and stay safe.
