Update on ROMANS Competitive program 2011-12 season

2011-08-11

All players interested in playing competitive hockey are encouraged to come out to try outs...."

 Dear ORMHA Parents:

As many of you know, Richmond Minor hockey, decided to pull out of the Rep B competitive program with Osgoode Rideau for this upcoming season and merge with West Carleton. We have now come to a formal agreement to dissolve the Club. I am pleased to announce that Osgoode Rideau will be ready to offer a Rep B competitive program to our members for the 2011-12 season under the Romans logo. We are planning on hosting 7 teams at this point from minor atom to minor midget.

Of course there is a new meaning for the logo...

Rideau
Osgoode
Manotick
And
North Gower
Senators

As a results of this agreement we have secured all the Romans assets and will continue with the Romans jerseys our players have had great pride in wearing. As well Richmond has offered up 2
additional hours or ice for ORMHA’s use for the 2011-12 season during this transition year.

Our coaches for all 7 teams are in place and the tryout schedule will be out any day. There were 31 Richmond players in our program so I would encourage all players interested in trying out for a position in the ORMHA competitive program to come out and give it their best shot. This year’s competitive program will be managed by our competitive VP Steven Velthuis, our Competitive Director at large Dave Avon and myself.

If you have any questions feel free to send me an email or give me a call.

Joe Farago
President ORMHA
